Back-up Girl Versus Influ Enzo

The City of BurghTown...

Home to the one superhero city residents call when the really important crime-fighters all have something better to do:

Yes, that's right-- Back-up Girl!...

Ah, but what's this? (GASP!)

Back-up Girl-- you don't look so good!

Oh NO! You've been hit by that Malcontent of the Malady...

That Instigator of Intestinal Angst...

That Villain of Vomit...

Influ Enzo, patriarch of the Orthomyx-Oviridae crime family!

Will Back-up Girl still manage to make it to work today?--

(Y'know, since Captain Coolness has a hangnail operation scheduled...

Lady Liberty misplaced her invisible SmartCar again...

And Mayor Skippy kinda has a playdate at PizzaMouse he'd still like to make.)

With Influ Enzo bent on increasing his territory in the city, could it be BurghTown will need back-up for its back-up?

Tune in to our next exciting episode to find out!

(Or, um, not. We'll see how we're feeling.)

PS-- Did you miss previous thrilling episodes of Back-up Girl? Really?! (Gasp!)

I say no to work unless you're 100 percent. Or 90 percent. Oh, what the hell, I usually show up even when I'm like 30 percent. Nobody seems to notice and I still get a paycheck.

Mike- I was batting about 10% yesterday morning, but am doing about 95% now. No one noticed regardless. I could go to work in my pajamas and I bet I could slip it by for a day or two, unless I had a meeting. :)

    Hey-- there's an idea!

This story board format and language reminded me the 1960's television series, Batman. All that is needed is a couple of KABOOMS and POWIE!

Lotgk- Ah, yes, I quite used to like that Batman show as a kid.

But if you Google the Powerpuff Girls and watch a clip, you'll see just what the whole theme is really spoofing.

    Influ Enzo? That swine!

Chris- Heh, if I'd been thinking more clearly, I would have drawn him somewhat more porcine. :)

Oh I hope Back-up Girl gets well soon!

    She's my hero!

You do all this when you're sick? I can't change my underware when I'm ill. I'm sure you didn't want to know that.

lol @ Influ Enza ... hahaha genius!

    Hope you're feeling better!

Reforming Geek- Thank you, kind lady-- she's doing much better in the last 24 hours! Almost human again!

Drowsey- Heh, you don't want to know my level of non-glamor and wrung-out sloth over the weekend. In fact, I myself prefer to try to forget it, too. :) I haven't gotten sick to that level for about 20 years.

So sorry to hear that Back-Up Girl was ill...but what a comfort it must be to her in such times to have her own monogrammed blanket!

Hope you're back on your feet in no time! Summer illness double-sucks!

    : )

Greg- Heh-- thank you. And I'm glad someone appreciated the monogrammed blanket. It made me laugh when I started adding them on there. :)

Is it wrong that I love Influ Enzo? Wasn't he on that Sopranos episode, the one where Tony gets the stomach flu and hallucinates that Big Pussy is a talking fish?

    Aren't you feeling better YET?

    Unknown said...

JD- Heh, I was sorta happy how he turned out, too, thanks. (It's hit or miss for me with these things, so it's always a surprise.)

I AM feeling better, yes, J.D., thanks. I probably could use some good sleeping-in time this weekend, but I'm of the living now, anyway.

I feel soooo behind, Jenn Thorson. I had to back up to read about back-up girl. :) Well, off to vote in the next exciting episode of Back-Up Girl !!! (Note: Not to be confused with Back-Down Girl or Back-Right Girl or Back-Left Girl or Back-Three-Point-Turn Girl. ;)

UnfinishedDude- I guess Back-Three-Point-Turn Girl would be for those times you're in a REALLY tight spot. :)
