Eddie Izzard's Death Star Canteen With Legos

I've been running fast on deadlines this week-- seems it's hard to find the funny when you're buried under the weight of two tons of Excel spreadsheets-- but I didn't want to leave my dear Cabbages readers empty-handed and completely Cabbage-free.

So I thought-- if you haven't gotten a chance to see it, or if you haven't seen it in a while-- you all might enjoy this peek at the Death Star Cafeteria, courtesy of comedian Eddie Izzard, and a kid who is very clever with his Legos but also has a whole lot of time on his hands.

This was actually part of what inspired me to write my Darth Vader Brainstorms Naming the Death Star post.

Enjoy! (And, please, take a tray.)

Eddie Izzard is the funniest man on the planet! (Cake or Death?).

And the little video - brilliant!

Grace- He is just wonderfully funny, and I love how smart his humor is. "Cake or death?" is one of my favorites, too.

And so glad you enjoyed the video! That chopping motion of the Lego Darth with the tray always entertains me greatly. :)

I saw this first when you tweeted about this video several years ago (twitter time) - and I am glad to see it again.

What are you doing with excel spread-sheets ?

I thought you work in the 'Creative Department' typing away clever lines and ... well, if I am imagining you work in an office like this one then perhaps you would need an excel spread-sheet.

Jaffer- Oh, I'm keeper of all sorts of information-- I end up doing a lot of aspects of marketing beyond developing creative. So it's a lot of tracking and research and planning, too.

May the force be with you, then.
Do you prefer the Good side or the Dark side ?

You'll need a tray...

Jaffer- The Dark Side in Star Wars has a lot more minuses than plusses for me. There's not a lot of self-expression. You don't get cooler clothes or hair. And you tend to get your trachea crushed by the bigwigs.

Tee hee!

Thanks for sharing. My kids LOVE Lego videos, particularly of the Star Wars variety. Not sure if they should see this one, though. ;)

That's a great video, I have to show it to my kids. I have to look this guy up on YouTube too.

Nick- You may never see the Vader family the same way. :)

Janene- Why, because they'll be enacting out Darth Vader killing someone by tray?

Sue- There are other Lego videos this kid has done. I think a few might be Eddie Izzard related, too.

Robert- HAAAA, it took me a minute to remember the Evil Giraffe skit! I hope they enjoy the video. I got to see Eddie live once myself about a year ago and he was terrific.
